David Jonathan started his career as a rapper, turntablist and saxophonist, but has always had a strong love for the American jazz tradition. He solidified this love through his masters degree at Nord university where he took a deep dive into the music of Dexter Gordon. during his studies he took lessons with great musicians such as Jon Pål Inderberg and Eirik Hegdal. His latest project is the David Jonathan Quartet. The group plays music from the american standard repertoire. David aims to explore his own voice to become a pivotal force within the scandinavian jazz scene.
